Classical guitar back repair :: gluing up loose back braces (4 of 5) before gluing the severe crack that runs the length of the body. The trick with this one is to add just enough moisture to close the crack, yet not too much as to cause the joint to overlap or bind.

Gluing loose back brace ends on a 1930s Gibson L-30. The guitar has very limited access through the f-holes, so I pulled out this old-school technique for gluing back cracks. This was refinished in the 70’s and will be re-refinished again once these repairs are made.
